AWM's "Best Albums from Every Year I've Been Alive"
1983 - Slayer - Show No Mercy I'm not trying to put a lot of metal in here, but with the early tracks it seems like it works out that way. I would've loved to pick Dead Can Dance or Depeche Mode but they didn't hold up against my favorite Slayer album. 1984 - Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath My second favorite Mercyful Fate album, but the best was going up against 3 or 4 superior albums in 1983. 1985 - The Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always 1985 was devoid of anything I totally loved, but The Sisters had a few great ones. It won't let me cut the video off. 1986 - New Model Army - The Ghost of Cain The little known album is one of my favorites of all time. 1987 - Metallica - The $5.98 E.P God, this year must have sucked shit. The best thing is Metallica doing Diamond Head covers. There was no competition. 1988 - Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking. Good album. Didn't have that stupid fucking Jane Says song on it. 1989 - Bad Brains - ...
