Herman Cain: Quitting the Race?

Image
I've written several posts about Herman Cain on The UC, such as encouraging people to read the plans on his website and posting a book review of that thing I skim read in Barnes and Noble one Saturday. However, I promise this will be the last post I ever write on Herman Cain (unless by some miracle he becomes president). Anyway, victory does not appear to be on the horizon for the Cain Train. A prime example is Herman Cain announced today that he is undergoing a major campaign reevaluation, and the manner in which this news was delivered hints that it might be a reevaluation headed toward withdrawal. Cain has been on one of the strangest rides of any candidate. He was not a politician. Instead, he was a self-labeled "problem solver," but he was also the host of a talk radio show focused on politics. He was the one talk jock that actually took a stab at running for president this time around (no sight of Rush Limbaugh, not that that would ever happen for many reasons). I f...

This is Herman Cain: Book Review

After way too long, Herman Cain is back on The UC! A lot of politicians release books on their campaign trails. They do this to spread their ideas…to gain awareness from the public…and of course to have another excuse to end up on television. What’s the difference between Herman Cain's book and other books by politicians? I actually read this one. It is a very fast read. It’s not as fast moving as Harry Potter, but I was able to read the entirety in a few hours at a Barnes and Noble. It chronicles his life of humble beginnings, and then, it expands into his journeys climbing the corporate ladders to become a CEO. There is also talk of what it was like for a black man to work in the hardnosed corporate world during the Civil Rights Era. The book is fine, but it is by no means an over-the-top convincing hook that will pull in people to his campaign, and it will by no means change the minds of undecided voters. Most of the book is the equivalent of reading his Wikipedia and watching s...

Herman Cain is the Man!

This is not the first time Herman Cain has appeared on The UC. (Such as This ) We recently updated the “Be Useful,” so just going to go out and say it. If you get a chance read Herman Cain’s 999 Plan. It’s some good stuff for economic recovery. The 999 Plan And look, he has a cowboy hat! QATFYG: Does he really hate Muslims? Or was that a smear tactic? PS: You know, since Obama is a "zebra" so to speak...Herman Cain could be our first REAL African American president. "Zebra" is courtesy of Mr. Jefferson.
