The Useless Critic 2.0

Cider Sky are an up-and-coming pop duo that makes beautiful music- so beautiful it's almost fragile. It's transcendent music, really. I was hooked from my first listen and because I like to force my opinion on others, you should be too! They didn't earn a spot on the "Twilight" soundtrack for nothing.  The band formed as a result of kismet; they are a British-Canadian hybrid. They are Simon Wilcox and Shridhar Solanki.  So I asked this band a few questions on behalf of the Useless Critic, and also YOU- I'm sincerely grateful I discovered these guys.  UC:   I read that 2011 was your "best year yet." As entertaining as it was yesterday to see that Maria Sharapova took the podium with a silver medal (I forget who got the Gold, someone not important), but today’s Men’s Tennis final between Great Britain’s Andy Murray and Roger Fedasomething might have been more appealing. There you have it, the British Andy Murray won Gold on Center Court in Wimbledon. After always coming up short, and never earning a major Grand Slam Title and always coming up short in second or third place, Andy Murray now has a Gold Medal in Men’s Singles Tennis.  He might be exuberant   at times. But in the end, Andy Murray is an Olympic Champion. This was a very one-sided match, but it was so entertaining to see someone from Great Britain win at Wimbledon.  Congratulations Andy. Questions for You: Will Andy Murray win a Grand Slam?

New Celeb Stuff: After the crumbling tower that was the Men's Gymnastics Team came Crumbling Down last night like a Tower of Crumbling Shit, it's all up to the women's gymnastics team to bring a Gold home for USA. Top 10 Reasons to Get Excited for the 2012 Olympics : #10 Nastia Liukin Commentary  Hello, and welcome to the Top 10 Reasons to Get Excited for the 2012 Olympics…Yes, this is just as important as it sounds.It turns out that Nastia Liukin did not make the Olympic team for a second time. ESPN reports that during her qualifier, the 2008 All Around Gymnastics Gold Medalist did nothing but fall flat.  This is a real shame considering I spent the entire 2008 Olympics masturbating to Nastia Liukin….now before you judge me on that, I was a lot younger back then…. ..........seriously….. ...........In other words, instead of participating as an athlete for this Olympics Nastia Liukin will serve as a supporter to the Girls’ gymnastics team and do some occasional commentary on the sport.
