One other artist I've always enjoyed - in addition to the aforementioned Mr. Little Jeans - is Little Boots. She's a tremendously talented electropop artist I've been fortunate to follow since the beginning of her career. So I'm also happy to share with you today her latest single, the irresistible disco homage "Landline." Also, very cool news for the incredibly talented Little Boots: She'll be joining ABBA on their upcoming "ABBA Voyage" tour as a member of their backing band. So it makes kind of sense to see "Landline" packed full of disco inspiration. Her upcoming fourth album will be in the near future. 

Yesterday, electro goddess Little Boots revealed via Instagram that her upcoming second album will be titled Nocturnes , along with the cover art and track listing: If this wasn't exciting enough, the album's first track, "Motorway," is being offered as a free download on Bootsie's official website ! She originally premiered the song live at the America's Cup World Series in Cascais, Portugal back in August 2011. To be honest, I don't really know what to make of this song at first listen—hopefully it's a grower. Still, heaven knows how much I've waited for this. Obviously, I need a GIF to express my excitement: Nocturnes will be released on May 5, 2012 via Little Boots' newly launched On Repeat Records imprint. It is already available for pre-order on iTunes.

Whenever queen Little Boots has a new song out, it's always a reason to celebrate. According to Popjustice , Bootsie secretly released two songs on vinyl under the pseudonym LB earlier this week. One of these songs is the sexy, slick jam "Superstitious Heart", which has recently surfaced online. The other track, "Whatever Sets You Free", has yet to appear online. Also this week, Little Boots confirmed in an interview that her second album is finished, and it's due for a March release!! My body is so ready. She was one of the main reasons why 2009 was da bomb.

Just keepin' it classy Ellie Goulding, "Figure 8" 2012 was definitely Ellie's year. I can't get over "Figure 8's" epic, bombastic chorus, I just wish I could inject it directly into my blood. Her music is so fresh, I'm loving the throwback to early-'90s house music and R&B that's been going on lately. Of all the great jams she has put out, "Liquorice" is my anthem to sassitude. As some of you must know by now, it was reported a couple of months ago that Azealia and Lady fucking Gaga recorded two tracks for Gaga's upcoming ARTPOP album! Diggin' the Debbie Harry-style do Little Boots is back for good! After releasing the club bangers "Shake" and "I Wish" in late 2011, the English electropop goddess has released yet another gem, "Every Night I Say A Prayer", a Moroder-esque synth-disco number showcasing a sleek, more mature production, along with Boots' coyly seductive vocals which easily recall Kylie Minogue (a major influence on Boots' work). With chanting diva hook-lines and pristine synths, the song – a collaboration with Andy Butler of New York underground disco group Hercules and Love Affair – is best suited for late-night lounging at some upscale club in Europe. The music video for La Roux's new single "I'm Not Your Toy" has been released and... I like it. La Roux is a British electropop synth band composed of Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid, singer and producer respectively. They work in the same milieu as Little Boots, Ladyhawke, and Passion Pit, so if you're into the indie electronic music that has been so popular recently, you'll probably like La Roux. I've been listening to La Roux on and off for a while now and I haven't exactly been blown away. Their songs are all good - catchy and interesting - but they just don't quite hit the spot. I like " Fascination " enough to let it play all the way through when it comes up on my iPod, but not enough to put it on repeat. Same with " Bulletproof " and " In For The Kill ."
