Remember my best of 2011 posts? ME TOO.  ... anyway, before this year is all but a bad and blurry memory, I want to share with you two songs I really appreciated from 2011. And before we get any farther, what's with Enrique Iglesias actually making decent dance music now? What gives, weird world? First of all, Jennifer Lopez had a surprisingly strong/decent comeback this year. which you wouldn't think but there you go. it happened. well, she did drop ratboy, so. everytime my bff and I went to the gay bar, I swear this played. gays love J.LO idk and also, THIS gem, which I am SO ASHAMED of forgetting: LOVE HURTS, WHETHER IT'S RIGHT OR WRONG this song was how I chose to greet 2011. sufficient to say, it was, um. apt.  what what what what the hell

I don't pick subjects as much as they pick me.

I like how Zooey Deschanel got divorced and we all came to the realization she was waking up and being like "um, what am I doing here?" I call it an epiphany. Jennifer Lopez is being tapped (tapped!) to star in the new Carmen San Diego  movie. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MARC ANTHONY! *smash gong* RIP Andy Rooney.  so, in honor of Parks and Recreation , do you want to share YOUR BUCKET LIST with the world? or at least the users of this blog? I'll watch the outtakes on the news shows or what have you (Scooter Girl! remember her!!!!) but I think this time might be different because we have new judges including JENNIFER LOPEZ and STEVEN TYLER. I don't know how it will function without the antics of that crazy pilled-out bitch Paula Abdul but we will find out. This summer is shaping up to be a good one for the Chautauqua Institution thus far. I haven't mentioned it before but homegrown talent Natalie Merchant (jealousyyyyyy) and banjo-plucking comedian extraordinaire Steve Martin (THAT one) will be doing shows for reasonable prices (like 39 dollars? I don't think that's too bad!) there. here are the deetz: - Steve Martin: July 1 2011 AN EVENING OF BLUEGRASS AND BANJO touring with the Steep Canyon Rangers have you ever read one of his books? he's a damn fine writer. SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALL THE LUCK. he also hit on Tina Fey when...
