So I just made this video, and I am looking for some feedback. QATFYG: Is it bad? Is it terrible? Is there too much Cuba Gooding Jr? There is no better place on Earth than the Useless Critic audience to get some fuck-ing honesty?

So just for fun, who is a fan of the band "Filter" who put out radio hits such as "Take my Picture." "Where do we go from here?" and "Hey Man, Nice Shot." and much more of course. So speak your minds on the band. QATFYG: Do you like other bands of this genre? Where do we go from here?

Sup homedogs? Sorry about the lack of posts lately. Moving across the world, working, etc kind of sucks up a lot of time. I should have a little more time now so I'll try to get back to posting on a semi-regular basis again. Something I enjoy doing is typing in a random word or grouping of letters into the search bar in iTunes and playing whatever comes up. It's a great way to find songs and bands which have been lost in the annals of your iTunes folders. Tonight I typed in "call." I've always been kind of ambivalent about the Raveonettes- they're not bad, but I've never been like, OMFG THEY'RE SOOOOOO GOOD. well this song may have swayed my opinion on them, definitely. have a look yourself: The Raveonettes - New Music - More Music Videos so sweet, so other-worldly, one of the best things to come out of 2009 for sure. think of a Jesus and Mary Chain for our time, or some forgotten alternative classinc from 1989. here you go. love their cameo at the end. FACT: they take their name from the Buddy Holly song, "Rave On." woo!

The music video for La Roux's new single "I'm Not Your Toy" has been released and... I like it. La Roux is a British electropop synth band composed of Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid, singer and producer respectively. They work in the same milieu as Little Boots, Ladyhawke, and Passion Pit, so if you're into the indie electronic music that has been so popular recently, you'll probably like La Roux. I've been listening to La Roux on and off for a while now and I haven't exactly been blown away. Their songs are all good - catchy and interesting - but they just don't quite hit the spot. I like " Fascination " enough to let it play all the way through when it comes up on my iPod, but not enough to put it on repeat. Same with " Bulletproof " and " In For The Kill ." it seems every time I come into contact with Paolo Nutini, it's via VH1 and their little morning music video blocks (what is it called? Jumpstart? well at least they play music videos). There's no use in a subterfuge here- I'm a sucker for a good music video. My secret ambition?
