2 Broke Girls recap: And the Window of Opportunity

Hey, guys. I apologize for yet another late post, I just had a lot going last week. Sti ll , I obviously wouldn't miss out on recapping the second season finale of 2 Broke Girls . Shall we? Han puts everyone in charge of tidying up the diner for health inspection. He is so determined to get an A rating that he even made Oleg wear a more conventional attire—as opposed to his usual tank tops—and three hairnets. "Is he making omelets or crystal meth?" Max mocks. Caroline comes in after Han paid her to get her nails done so she would be his "show pony" for when the health inspector shows up. Max asks Han why she didn't get a beauty treatment too, and in response, he pays her $75 to stay away from the diner. While at the nail salon, Caroline heard about a branding seminar for business owners that she wants to attend with Max, who is reluctant. "I went to a seminar once. I was almost married to 300 Koreans." The health inspector arrives. She se...

Girls: A Real Case of the Whispers

Girls Episode 10 Together Stop. Just stop. Let me explain where I’m coming from. I’m the kind of person that loves a good relationship drama. I’ve watched Queer as Folk (US and UK) and The L Word (even the atrocious final season). I watch romantic comedies that don’t actively insult my intelligence ( Celeste and Jesse Forever comes to mind). In certain parts of this episode, I felt like the show devolved into a sad parody of a Kate Hudson rom-com. Let’s just get to it, and we can say goodbye to this well-intentioned but seriously flawed finale.

Dexter Recap: Bloody Lips and Bad Flashback Hair Edition

This weekend, I was supposed to make my way to Arizona to hang with the UC’s own Brittany and party like the world was ending. Long story short, the lovely (but not really) people at US Air were so unforgivably rude in their refusal to let me on the plane, despite me getting there well within time, I had a terrible panic attack/breakdown. Needless to say, I did not get to join my friends in AZ. And now I have to review this stinker of an episode. You have no idea how happy I am this season is over. Let’s see, in this episode, character’s storylines are woefully written, and we’re treated to some pointless flashbacks. Oh, and it’s Milla Jovovich’s birthday today, which means it’s my birthday, too! Coincidence? Well, yes, most certainly. But it is cool. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MILLA AND ME

Just like Lafayette, this True Blood recap did not see that coming.

Episode 12: Save Yourself Wow, I’d call that a season finale, alright. Lots of blood, a bit of sexing, and more than a few “what the fuck did I just watch” moments. Oh, and an out-of-nowhere cliffhanger. I don’t use this word much, but it left me flabbergasted. Let’s get to it, shall we?

2 Broke Girls recap: And Martha Stewart Have a Ball (Part 1)

Hello, mah darlings! (Imagine that being said with the most affected British accent ever.) I'm here to present you with my own personal recap of the season one finale of 2 Broke Girls , a.k.a. the best sitcom around (don't even try to argue otherwise unless you're looking to get stabbed in the eye with my killer heels), which stars goddess Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. I know, I'm just a little late considering this particular episode aired last Monday, but I loved it so much, and my mind was bubblin g with ideas as soon as I finished watching it. I admit, it's also a shameless ploy to spread some of the best quotes the episode produced—for real, I literally live for this show's quotes. As its title suggests, the one-hour season finale features a special guest spot from none other than Martha Stewart. Be advised that this post might contain spoilers, in case you haven't yet watched the episode for some reason As usual, things start at the Williamsb...
