QUESTIONS?

I decided today while reading Good Housekeeping Imma make Cara do an advice column once a month. SO IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENT HERE AND BITCH WILL ANSWER THEM

Does anyone have a favorite cooking show?

So this is rather simple, QATFYG: Does anyone out there have a favorite cooking show? Nowadays, I do not often watch cooking shows, but as I said in a post from a long long time ago, I watched lots of television programs about cakes. I was also a big fan of a show called “Cooking under Fire” with Chef Ming Tsai. But if I had to pick one cooking show that really takes the Grease, I would pick “Barbecue University.” Just barely ahead of “BBQ with Bobby Flay.” There was a time in my life when all I cared about was Barbecue, but with “BBQ University” I learned so much. Moreover, Thanks to this wonderful internet invention, I have discovered this website called Heyfood.org It sounds like a call from the heart to the God of cuisines and things. I used to have to write to Swedish people and beg them for recipes for peanut chicken, but now, I think this website might be a more positive approach. Good stuff.

Spotlight/Shoutout: The Happy Family

QATFYG: Do you need a new Asian TV show? If so, check out "Happy Family." I have recently started watching this stuff, and it is legit like respect. No but seriously, check this stuff out.

Talking Babies: DOs and DON'Ts

In recent weeks I have been finding the E*TRADE baby increasingly disturbing. Why? Babies are cute, right? Barring that Seinfeld episode, no one has ever caught wind of an ugly one. Sure. But this child is just so unlikeable. I can imagine him hounding women with cheesy pickup lines at bars, stealing a secret smug shit eating grin every time he makes a piss poor joke or a sexually offensive remark, spilling beer on his sweatshirt in the midst of it. He's the Cliff Clavin of talking babies. I don't even believe him when he's talking about E*TRADE. On the other hand, Talking babies can be done well. Oh shit, Christopher Lloyd is in that movie? These babies not only talk, but they are geniuses, as is indicated by the fact that the child is wearing glasses. Other movies with babies: Baby's Day Out. Smug commercial figures who aren't horrible: Dos Equis Guy, J.G. Wentworth

dancing with the STAHHHHS

Dancing with the Stars first thoughts: WHYYYYYY second thoughts: I'M IN SO MUCH PAIN RIGHT NOW third thoughts: "THIS IS THE JIVE; I DIDN'T SEE JIVE." fun fact about the jive: "the jive" was actually an STD WWII soldiers brought home with them after being stationed in the Pacific. it was slowly spread in the baby boom period following WWII because these men wanted to have sex and these women wanted to be housewives. the dance mimicked the gestures of furiously seeking "relief of the genitals." fact!!!! anyway, I have to say, Kendra's breakdown was quite real. seriously, I felt that in my body, that for her to be seen not as strictly as a "tomboy" and become a "lady" with "confidence"- that was like, Precious -like moving. this is what I remember of it: "PEOPLE THINK I'M THIS PLAYBOY CONFIDENT GIRL AND I'M JUST I'M JUST NOT HER OH MY GOD PEOPLE I JUST WANT TO BE A LADY." see who does NOT have

you need to hear this: OH LAND!

Do you like adorably Scandinavian things?? Maybe you're like me and that easy to satisfy. Oh Land is the current discovery that has me fapping at the knees. She's catchy as an STD and cute as a polar bear cub. She hails from Denmark, lives in Brooklyn, because she is a hipster (as I am, because I live in ~Millcreek~). her single "Sun of a Gun"- which reminds me a lot of say Goldfrapp or Moloko- is really making a splash here. But my personal favorite is "Rainbow" although "White Nights" is fun, too. she's opening for Scissor Sisters, tourin' a lot of places and doing a signing in NYC next week! UGH! I WISH I COULD GO! recommended: if you like ANNIE or KYLIE

On Decision Points

I know it's been a while. Life and such. On George W. Bush's book, Decision Points: If you can make it through 3/4 of this book, you will have a new understanding of the political mind, and you’ll have done awfully well considering how boring the last two chapters are. No one can really make it through a whole chapter on the Freedom Agenda or the financial crisis. I would suggest trying to read as much as possible (or at least not discourage it). It’s not a book you just sit down and enjoy reading. In fact, it took me more than two months to get through the whole thing. It’s not written in a way that I could grab a venti and lose myself all afternoon. Nevertheless, read it. You just might gain a new understanding of the mind of W. On Quitting: I think we all know W used to drink, and I believe it’s possible W was never an alcoholic. On some level it’s plausible that W acted foolishly when he drank but never drank excessively or alone. Having rather ineloquently over-ex

QATFYG : Which Rob Lowe role is best ? I did this once for Julia Stiles, and I could not resist but repeat it for none other than Rob Lowe. Is it? movies you should see: hiroshima mon amour

Hiroshima, Mon Amour this movie has been on my mind a lot lately, due to the recent events in Japan. when I saw it about a year ago, it easily made an impression on me. easily. it was just so beautiful, in every way thinkable. it follows the story of a French actress and her Japanese architect lover, having a conversation together as they lie in bed. the majority of the film is told in flashbacks of their lives in WWII (the film was made in 1959, so there's a ten year gap there). he was directly affected by the dropping of the atom bomb in Hiroshima; she was ostracized due to her involvement with a German soldier. the reason I was propelled to see it was the song "Burning Hearts" by My Favorite- "I was an architect, she was an actress, I drew the Eiffel Tower upon her dress." (really good song too, by the way! RIP My Favorite). luckily, you can find the movie online. here's a portion of it: I HOPE YOU LIKE READING FILMS it's given credit (so I am led to

my social group in high school all had livejournals. I kept one from 9th grade probably until last year, when I realized I didn't want to remember a single thing that had happened to me in that span of time. Anyway, I do remember having plenty of melodramatic angsty entries during this dark time period (a lot of which I have suppressed.) So I present to you a channeling of one of the more traumatic events I am able to recall: MAY 22 2005 MUSIC: TORI AMOOOOS Dear LJ today was SO BAD I can only think of ONE REASON to stay alive and that is to see what happens to me WHEN HIGH SCHOOL IS OVER. the guinea pig is not even talking to me. I was in biology today- so bad- we were watching this stupid movie about chickens and then all of a sudden I was like my face was realllllly itchy. so I was all like WTF and excuse myself to Mr. ______ to go to the bathroom. then the next thing I know is there is a lot of blood stream

Another Davis Gaines Song

Yes, I have become the person that is promoting Christmas Carols in the Springtime, and although, there is no chance of Jack Frost nipping at your nose, I have the chance to promote one of my favorite singers yet again. I could not wait until November to write this. And of course there is " Davis Gaines Ol Man River on The Useless Critic ." I really became a fan of Davis Gaines during my 2009 fascination with Broadway music. This video has been on the internet for a few months, but I had only recently discovered it. This is a studio recording, and I will admit that I much rather prefer to listen to Davis Gaines when he is live on stage, but this is still fun. His studio voice and his live voice are quite different. To be honest this sounds nothing like him, but it has a lot of his qualities. QATFYG: Who has the best studio voice?

Project: a Thousand Paper Cranes

so recently, due to the wonderful website that is couchsurfing , I became aware of a girl from Toronto (Joanne Poh ) doing an origami-based project to help those stricken by the recent tragedy in Japan. Please take a few moments to check out what she's all about! This is an awesome idea! http://www.athousandpapercranes.com/ Her goal is to make a 1000 paper cranes (hence the title!) with various phrases of encouragement and inspiration and, you know, well-meaning on them and send them to the affected families in Japan. At the same time, the group aims to raise money for the Save the Children Canada foundation. so a $5 donation (which is really reasonable) equates one paper crane: 5 dollars/5 yen has the same pronunciation as the word for Fate/destiny in Japanese which is go-en . If you live in Toronto, she's taking volunteers to make paper cranes, which you can see on the website. And if not, but you're still interested nonetheless, you can write to her about hosting a crane

Chupacabra Myth has been Busted

So this just in, A scientist has confirmed that the CHUPACABRA myth is….well, it is a myth. That supernatural creature that has been ranked as one of the most popular folkloric legends for the last 15 years has been debunked. QATFYG : Do you really need a scientist or researcher to tell you this ? I would want to call this guy Captain Obvious, but I suppose I have to acknowledge his regimentals, so he might have to be Dr. Obvious instead. Lastly, did you ever believe that the CHUPACABRA myth was real ? Read Full Story Here

Spotlight/Shoutout: Stevie Lee Saxon

This is hardly new news to the people of Earth, or maybe it is new news to those of our readers that live in Space stations and caves. Stevie Lee Saxon takes the s/s today because he did a show called « Korean Badass. » If you need something to watch, check out his videos on youtube or other possible legitimate video sharing video places, by that I mean websites. QATFYG: What other shows could you make out of ethnic terms? For example, if you can have Korean Badass....can you also have Lithuanian Badass or Samoan Badass? In fact, I want to challenge someone to write a play called "Samoan Badass," and the stipulation is you cannot mention coconuts.

reviews in 30-ish words

No Strings Attached : an enjoyable piece of fluff. like, a seriously entertaining film. I was very surprised because it looked stupid. you know why Natalie wanted to do this, right? SHE DIDN'T WANT TO THINK ANYMORE. The Unbearable Lightness of Being: the most perfectly written sensual novel I have yet to come across. I kind of hated Sabrina towards the end, and Tomas: LOVE YOU FRANZ. The Do's new album, Both Way Open Jaws Finnish-French freak folk. say that five times fast. um, this band is in a peculiar class all on its own. I can't get my head around this. question: would you get a sex friend? I think I tried but I sort of failed.

The Future of Two and a Half Men

With Chaz Sheen out of the picture, things are sure to get mixed up, that is if the show continues at all. Could they replace him with John Stamos? Maybe, but it's sure to tank the show. I say, why not flip the script altogether? Over the course of season 8, Alan has become increasingly deranged, culminating in his construction of an elaborate Ponzi scheme and seeing hallucinations of his evil self in the mirror. Let's go further down the rabbit hole. Maybe there never really was a Charlie Harper. Maybe Charlie Harper was just Alan's divergent personality. We could revisit Jane Lynch as the psychiatrist. John Cryer could play both roles as his illusion of reality continues to collapse around him. Maybe Berta is really his wife, and Jake their son, his "ex-wife" really a neighbor he clandestinely stalks. If the show loses money, they could downgrade the set. Maybe they were never in Malibu to begin with. Maybe Chuck Lorre was never even really the produc

You can't spell 'Housewife' without 'Ho'

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a middle-class twenty-something possessing an HD tv must be in want of a program featuring mind-numbingly stupid and inexplicably rich blonde women in Orange County. Look, I don't purport The Real Housewives of Orange County to be some kind of elevated medium from which we can all glean truths about human nature. In fact, 'nature' is decidedly absent from this show. But I have been watching RHOC since its first season and I am hooked. I am hooked like Dustin Hoffman c. 1991. After talking this over with bkemp, I have just decided to go ahead and start a new column, celebrating/making fun of the Real Housewives of Orange County. I simply cannot hide my love any longer. Now in its sixth season (Jesus Lord in Heaven, I have been wasting my time for SIX YEARS?), the only remaining original Housewife is Vicki Gunvalson, she of the 'WOO-HOOOOOS' and hypercritical micromanagement. Get it, girl. She is the breadwinner and ha

something more somber.

Edinboro native Shelley Mook has been missing for nearly a month now. I've been following this story on and off on the national and local news, but it doesn't sound nor look good. still remain positive, hey? you can read about Shelley here - she sounds like a well-liked, positive girl. I hope she turns up soon; please keep her/family in thoughts/prayers.

Jamie Woon (you need to hear this)

Jamie Woon: I want to take a bath in this man's voice. Very soulful, but also very minimalistic....he has Jeff Buckley listed as an influence, which is definitely something you can hear. He'll be in Toronto on March 25th, opening for Mount Kimble. wish I could go! take a listen: or somewhat newer if you like this dude on Facebook, you're supposed to get a free download. err.

why i want to see 'the beaver' with jodie foster and mel gibson

Jodie Foster's film The Beaver , starring Mel Gibson in his first big role since 2002, about a depressive man with a legion of failures behind him who hooks onto this beaver puppet he finds in the trash, is getting rave reviews at SXSW. Rave! and he just got arrested, too! Now this is a typical story of where you have to look beyond the artist and just at the art, which should speak for itself. Miss Foster is famous as a near-recluse, probable lesbian. Mel Gibson, eh. Mel Gibson's escapades have been tabloid fodder for years. He hates, um. Everyone. And likes to yell at his wife on the phone and threaten to cut off her head etc (is that Charlie Sheen? I am not in the mood to be excessively witty tonight, forgive me, I have been a vessel of seething self hate all week and it reached its boiling point today) etc etc. Well! Even though I would probably be another likely target for Mr. Gibson's hatred, even though I don't agree with his lifestyle by a long shot (why would

LADY GAGA, in ... KENTUCKY

This is how my evening seeing Lady Gaga started off: my dad (yes, my DAD) drove us into the parking area near the stadium and asked the attendant, “What’s going on here tonight?” “Uh, Lady Gaga,” the guy answered. “Sounds good! Hook us up!” my dad shouted. (My dad is awesome.) My sister, her best friend, and my dad and I saw Lady Gaga in Louisville, Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center (great name, really, nothing like imagining fried chicken and mashed potatoes every time I think of Gaga now) on March 12. I like Gaga, although I have nowhere near the levels of adoration that the Little Monsters do. She has some really great songs, and I was looking forward to seeing some wicked outfits and crazy stunts and what have you, the typical Gaga fare. Scissor Sisters opened up at 8, with the announcement that “if you don’t know who we are, you’re probably not gay or British” (they were right!). They were a decent band, kind of a cross between Led Zeppelin and Joan Jett. Gaga didn’t come onsta

Spotlight / Shoutout: Kaoru Yachisuga

So back when I wrote that short mini-mix for Japan, I was reminded of something more relevant to the Spotlight / Shoutout universe. Back when I was in high school, and I had discovered an obsession with Japanese films, and there was one actress that greatly stood out to me. She was Kaoru Yachisuga. She has a career that spans over five or six decades, but really, in this post I am going to focus on where I know her from….playing the character of « Otsu » in the Musashi Miyamoto Samurai Trilogy directed by Hiroshi Inagaki. I just remember watching these films, and even after all of the skilled fencing, fight scenes, and Japanese historical imagery, the feature that stood out the most was the performance of Kaoru Yachisuga. She played her character with a feeling of innocence, and she made the role seem extremely captivating. It was like one of those charismatic persons that just draws you into them. Even my mother liked her, but I think my mother also liked Sonya Blade from Mortal Komba

YESTERDAY WAS THURSDAY

Some Sounds from Libya

Libya has been mentioned so much in the news lately. Right now, I can only hope the people of Libya come out of this with a positive result, and the violence ends soon, but despite all their turmoil, one of the things I wondered about the most was.....what is their music all about? Of course, they have lots of traditional Middle Eastern music, but I wanted to try and find some songs and arrangements that were different just to see how vast the music of Libya can get. For some reason I think B Kemp might like this group. This is the Tuareg style, with origins in the Libyan Sahara. However, I think this song has a lot more alternative qualities than a lot of Tuareg music. Some Libyan reggae This has a rather smooth feel, and I am not super into reggae, but for some reason this seems really relaxing. Libyan Death Metal on Guitar Well, this sound speaks for itself. Libyan Death Metal Riffs. QATFYG: Just curious, Is it true that every country in the world has some form of good music?

LOLLAPALOOZA BUZZ

http://www.lollapalooza.com/ yes, so here who is supposed to play this year, according to whoever writes this sh!t at last.fm: - Foo Fighters - White Lies - Crystal Castles - Sleigh Bells - Eminem - !!! - Girl Talk - 30 Seconds to Mars (eww) - Best Coast - Arctic Monkeys - Cage the Elephant - Civil Twilight - Crash Kings - Cults - Fitz and the Tantrums - G.Love - Justice - Lykke Li - Muse - Fences - Portugal the Man - Primus - White Lies - Titus Andronicus - Young Giant so far I think it's a pretty solid line-up, if not too male-oriented. eh. BUT HERE IS MY HOPE THAT HAVING JUSTICE ON THIS LIST (yes FRENCH JUSTICE) GUARANTEES THAT QUEEN BITCH GODDESS UFFIE WILL BE THERE. and if so I HAVE TO GO it is my moral obligation. hence big type. question: will you buy my L-palooza ticket for me? say yes! also, become a fan of "Dog Bless You" on Facebook. and here's another link to the Japan post. http://theuselesscritic.blogspot.com/2011/03/donate-to-japan.html#comments

Japanese Mini-Mix

Hello, So the world is going through a lot of the Nasty Bits right now, But I was just hoping to make a tiny minimix just to remind us all and myself that Japan has some really awesome music. Shintaro Katsu One of my idols from my younger years was Shintaro Katsu, and I learned of him because of all those « Blind Swordsman » films that he made. Thanks to Amazon.com I also learned of his singing. Someone on the internet says straight up that this sounds like « Kill Bill » music. When searching for Folk Music, it seems there is one that comes up so often. Sakura Song for Seji Kojima Good traditional feeling that is expanded with the use of classical guitar. I need a bass video. Copied and pasted : By the way, this "bass girl" is a guy crossplaying Yuki Nagato from the anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu. That sounds weird, but I love the song, so here it is. QATFYG: Were you one of those kids in High School that was obsessed with Japan? For me, I was only really obsessed with the

couples that need to happen

I know that's John Legend with Fiona, but I think bitch and Mayer Hawthorne need to date. and make a record together. JUST MY FEELING ON SAID SUBJECT look below for a pic of Mayer, who will be touring with Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae, or is touring with them or something right now. who is this boy? I'm glad you asked: I've been listened to a lot of blue-eyed soul lately. it makes me feel white.

I have the groupon app for my phone even though I'm still really lost on what to do with it. p.p.s. I know this isn't much, but you know.

Liam Neeson has a cameo in the Hangover II. Why? because the cast was not comfortable with Mel "I HATE EVERYONE YET STILL MAINTAIN A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH JODIE FOSTER" Gibson. question: is this (see right) man funny to you? shrug.

My First Date with Esperanza Spalding

Hey, So the name « Esperanza Spalding, » is now getting an enormous amount of attention on the internet, and I have to confess before she won that little Gram Gram statue, I had no idea who she was. Did a Jazz musician really win Best New Artist this year? Anyway, I love the double bass, I love the bass guitar, I love compositions for the bass and bass guitar, so this bassist seems like she would be a perfect fit for someone like me. However, despite my obsession with Bassies, I am not that big of a Jazz fan. In this live song, she is rather awesome though. There is energy, and there is also what some people refer to as SOUL. Whether you like Jazz or not, this song and performance is awesome. But in this video below, I really lose a lot of the sensual energy. I think the bass is extremely well-played, but the arrangement is just not for me. She has a good voice, but it is not sitting well with me because of that silly Je ne sais quoi. She is definitely worth checking out though. QATFYG

for our pacific readers

please take of yourselves. really- Japan's such a lovely country.....man, I don't know how you're supposed to go on with work and stuff knowing 1000s of people are dead somewhere. take care everyone, please.

in honor of my mom's birthday

Jane Eyre comes out tomorrow. I have to say it looks pretty good, although it's missing Charlotte Gainsbourg (wistful sigh). I've never finished reading the book and am in the process of doing so currently. I know right? LOOK AT THE POORLY READ ENGLISH MAJOR I READ THAT IN PRESCHOOL (fuck you) anyway I've been told this is a darker, more traditional version of the book about a crazy bitch living in an attic whose husband falls in love with the morose governess. I'm not much on Jane Austen, either. Sorry Simon. so will you see this movie? or will you just play "Wuthering Heights" loudly in your bedroom and practice your ballet moves? happy birthday Mom! (it's her favorite book)

Spotlight/Shoutout: El Muerto

Some images just have to be shared in as many ways as possible. This post reminds me of back when I wrote the Spotlight/Shoutout for Kristin Erickson . She earned the S/S because of my overwhelming desire to see the film « Blackwater Valley Exorcism, » and now this week it goes to « El Muerto. » This is my next film in waiting, and I cannot wait to see Wilmer Valderrama take on the character seen in the image above. Seriously, Wilmer Valderrama………in Dead One make up………seriously. QATFYG : What comic actor would you like to dress up ?

Willow Smith is now Ke$ha

And the charm is gone. Her little scream at 3:52 is the only thing Willow Smith about this. Everything else is a soulless vacuum. Yeah, the song is catchy.

Unsung free music of 2011

I can't remember if I posted this or not because I have less memory than a netbook, but this Diddy - Dirty Money mixtape is a fun, free download with a Valentine's Day theme that you ought not pass up. I know those $0.00 could be put to good use elsewhere, but consider giving this a spin if you're throwing frugality to the wind. I haven't heard very much other new music in 2011 because I am a heartless, unemotional creature who may or may not have been born without a soul, so if you've found something you prefer, please forgive me, and consider me more embarrassed for suggesting this than Cee Lo Green without a giant peacock uniform.

Korean Music Party

For a person that is really into Asian music, I knew very little about Korea. I have nothing against Koreans. In fact, Korea has given us many fascinating things such as the tradition of eating a live Octopus and Yunjin Kim. I send wicked respect to Barbara from Punta Arenas for giving me the low down on Korean Music. Brown Eyed Girls - Sign MV (English Sub) Adoration has made its masterpiece, and I am so glad I learned of this group because they capture the really strong uplifting melodies that really sell pop music. Miss A "Bad Girl, Good Girl" from [BAD BUT GOOD] This video is worth every second of your time. 유키스(U-KISS) 시끄러!! M/V (Clean ver.) I found this song, and it isn’t too bad. It gets into a little more of the boy band style that I am not crazy about. However, it is still a fun song. Sadly, this is the clean version. Korean Violin Piece Hae-ga-san-ma-loo-en-ju-moo-la-doo is the name. This is a piano and violin arrangement, and these westerners go for a really tradi

WHY I SHOULD BE CHARLIE SHEEN'S INTERN

I swear to God I will stop soon....but I must, oh I must. SO MR. SHEEN is looking for an intern. and who would be better for this than yours truly? WHY: - I am crazy. albeit not Charlie crazy, but I certainly can tell where that boy is coming from! - I know how to use Twitter. can you train an elephant to use social media? they may be able to share, but I THINK NOT. (Commandment #21 in the elephant code, as praised by Dumbo: thou shalt not use trunk to tweet). - I can turn your shit into gold Mr. Sheen! I know you can already do that on your own but seriously I can make your POOP INTO DIAMONDS. - I am all about the Sober Valley Lodge. as long as I can wear some kind of hat, let's get this party started. I feel like destiny is calling me. CHARLIE, CHOOSE ME, CHOOSE ME DAMMIT. edit: totes applied. am doing something so meaningful with life.

pitchfork kind of sucks this year!

http://www.last.fm/festival/1788687+Pitchfork+Music+Festival+2011/lineup#recommended I'd only go for Fleet Foxes and James Blake and that's not saying much! seriously, last year: Robyn and St. Vincent. ugh. so far Lolla seems extremely better, because it has Lykke, Crystal Castles, White Lies, Sleigh Bells among others. Eminem also seems to stick out in my mind, because I can't imagine seeing Eminem live ever. question: are there any big music festivals you looking forward to seeing? are you going to any? I don't think I am.

werner books (in erie)

Border's has closed, fellow Erie-ites (I know there are at least five of you out there). That really blew. I mean I was there when they found out they were closing- the cashier was genuinely upset. and even though you can go on and on about ebooks or Barnes and Nobles buying the out or blah blah blah, it's still sad to see arguably the biggest bookstore in Erie- a place where I personally have a lot of other memories (Wenli where the hell are we going to hang out anymore)- go under. and I hate having to say that about a chain bookstore! Werner Books just opened in the Liberty Plaza as of a few months ago, though, and I have to say- being a minor connoisseur of used bookstores (there isn't a great deal in the region, no)- I'm rather impressed. It's got a good selection, the atmosphere is refreshingly nice and simple and not cluttered NOR junky (I'm thinking of a few stores and I will not name names), and the prices are reasonable. if you're in the area and wo

i am late on this gravy train!

Two songs I have heard recently that have been out since last year that are completely amazing: Foster the People: do you like Vampire Weekend? if so: I'm not really into Adele, but she has an amazing set of vocals. and this song is brilliant: I like that comment: So damn passionate! even in a chair! TRUTH A++++ for both of these. have a good weekend! p.s. I have two more Erie posts planned, and that will be that. I said there's not much worth discussing!

is there anything better than Saint Etienne for this time of year?

a slice of this pop culture life. (north by north..whatever)

- Miley Cyrus is hosting Saturday Night Live with the Strokes. This both hot on the heels of the Strokes' comeback-thing and Billy Ray basically saying "my daughter is two BOOMS I'M WINNING away from becoming LiLo." I have a theory about Miley: now that she is legal she is appearing with everyone she wants to sleep with. yes/no - The Strokes new stuff: AWESOME . I'm excited! - when do you think the Charlie Sheen jokes are going to get old? my guess: tomorrow. - because the Chuck Norris jokes haven't been funny since high school. - Anoraak released "Crazy Eyes" officially as a single yesterday. have you not been listening to Anoraak? I am ashamed, this boy is crazy talented: - does anyone know anything about the new Fiona Apple album? she never responds to my tweets. I was going to send her record label a watermelon to reenact "Save Fiona Apple Day" ... but my psyche got the best of me. - every single movie coming out in the near future l

GOODBYE, JOEY STEVENS

Erie's most beloved weatherman Joey Stevens has left Erie for his other job in the Caribbean. yeah, the Caribbean. where he is a celebrity . GOOD LUCK JOE, WISH I COULD SAY I FEEL BAD FOR YOU BUT I'M KIND OF ENVIOUS I'd like to dedicate "Goodbye Yellow Brickroad" to this Hawaiian-shirt wearing hunk of manmeat who will be polluting airwaves around the equator. I saw him at my cousin's wedding a very long time ago and I remember I was in awe but I was so nervous I DID NOT ASK FOR AN AUTOGRAPH God STUPID STUPID

Spotlight / Shoutout: Ellen Pompeo

So I recently wrote a post called, “The Most Disappointing Film Awards,” and one thing that I really could not fit in was an award for Ellen Pompeo. She does not disappoint me, and in fact, she does not disappoint a lot of people, but she was completely cut from “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” where she played the ex-girlfriend of Jim Carrey, Naomi. Seriously, she looks great in the deleted scenes. “Eternal Sunshine” was an awesome film, and I absolutely love it. But Ellen Pompeo, here is your moment. I find it a disappointing choice to cut her from the film. Also, I think she did some other work……with some kind of show….about doctors….and doctors and stuff….a show that contains Patrick Dempsey…..a show that definitely does not contain Isaiah Washington …..I wonder why not? QATFYG: What movie has the best deleted scenes?

what charlie sheen would make of erie

"what is this shit, I can't snort it off a stripper's asshole." "THIS CITY OWES ME SIX MILLION DOLLARS." "NINE MILLION." "what is this snow I CAN'T SNORT THIS..." "what do I snort, really? MY OWN DANDRUFF. I'M CHARLIE SHEEN." "Charlie Sheen." "It's okay I have my goddesses to keep me warm." "THIS CITY EXISTS BECAUSE CHUCK LORRE IS UGLY. WITH HIS UGLY WIFE, HIS UGLY CHILDREN, HIS UGLY CAT, HIS UGLY WASHING MACHINE, HIS UGLY HOUSE. do I look HIGH to you? I'M HIGH ON MY OWN ESSENCE." "Sometimes my goddesses floss my teeth." conclusion: this is the best week ever

The Untimely Tragedy of Christina Aguilera

Oh, Christina. Remember when you were a barely-legal ingenue, fresh from the hills of Pennsylvania and just a few years after you probably got cooties from Ryan Gosling back at the Disney studios? Then you turned into Fred Durst's plaything. Then you turned into X-Tina. X-rated. X-posed. Possibly x-rayed. Fast forward several years later. You're a mom, divorced from the cutest guy ever, and since then you've forgotten the words to the national anthem on the most watched program of all time and you fell onstage about a week later with the camera barely catching your fall. Now this. Now. This. You just got arrested for public drunkenness. I believed in you, Christina. We all believed in you. The American people believed in you. And not only did you believe in you to succeed and fair better than Britney, we ROOTED for you. WE ALL ROOTED FOR YOU. The only thing coming close to fairing than Britney is failing better than her, and you're doing that right now. On our computer

All Irish / All March

Hello People of Earth, so Happy Erie Week, and also, happy first of March. I am just making an announcement that the page, "Guitarists of the Week," is going to feature Irish Guitarists all month long. So I hope you like dancing and beating up people in bars. QATFYG: If you were Irish, what would your name be? I call Tim Finnegan. If you are Irish, what is your name? Hmmm this is a flawed question.
