The Useless Critic 2.0

Today was quite a busy one for me, but I finally managed to squeeze a little time in for my recently created TBT. This song is pretty much a classic, it never fails to put me in a party mood. I love the '90s acid house feel to it, and man, those neon-lit synths are like the sound of angels touching you in the right places (as kinky as it might sound). Not to mention the non-ironic sax solo, which weirdly fits the track like a glove. Also, this:

why iz every1 taller than me :< I haven't been to a real concert in ages and THIS WAS AWESOME. I have been trying miserably to see Cut Copy live since 2011- and my buddy Frank and I saw the indie-dance gods at the Marquee Theater last night! It was, I think, what the both of us needed. First of all, I don't think I've ever been to a show where so many people were dancing. And how could you not dance? I white-person danced- meaning I was too tired and my legs were too sore other than to do anything but bop rhythmically in tune with the music. See video for an example- Cut Copy puts on a good, energetic live show. Lots of sweating, dancing and at least one person who was on drugs ("I JUST TOOK SOME ECSTASY")- some dude offered me ecstasy once when I first moved here. I was so tempted but my friend strongly advised against it. She said I'd be happy for an hour and sad for a month. I was like "This is a drug that essentially recreates my exist...

Song of the Day Cut Copy is coming to Phoenix on Nov. 6 at the Marquee Theater. To me, it's a sign from the indie rock gods. I'm going with my good friend Frank. Perhaps I will dance...but probably not.

At the hipster haven this past weekend. sigh. one day I will go to Coachella, and YOU BITCHES ARE JUST GOING TO FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER. Cut Copy announced a show in Pittsburgh on July 11th at Club Zoo, which sounds either gay or like an U2 tribute. here is a song I've had in my head all day: the VOICE better save her or she's a loster cause than Charlie Sheen's kids.
