The Useless Critic 2.0

This film looks like it has an ensemble cast of A-lister gold. And it's gotten rave reviews from places like the New York Times. And it hits a nerve sensitive for many young and middle-aged Americans:  the whole kid fiasco. Whatever your personal opinion on that can of worms is, it's clear:  this film does not look as good as it should be, judging SOLELY by this trailer! SOLELY! I mean, is that seriously Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig as a couple? ?!?! would you see this? for reals?

I still cannot get over how good it was. SNL is NEVER that good! and they brought some GREAT people back, omg. Amy Poehler sounded very weird though... I loved her hits at facebook and the tasteful jokes about her age. and "SHE'S A LESBIAN! last night when I locked myself in the basement to waste away on the stationary bike (mmmmmph) I caught a good portion of "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!" which is like, one of those weird movies I will watch on occasion because it reminds me of being fifteen, lying on my stomach in front of the TV and wondering where my life went (or where is it going?). and it makes me wonder what happened to Topher Grace's career? Now I'd heard about it and the brouhaha concerning Dave Eggers as the screenwriter, but I'd never given it a chance to - mmm, marinade - simply because I find Eggers hard to swallow.
