SURPRISE, BITCH. I know I've been slacking off for a while now, but I decided to dust myself off and write my annual coverage of the broadcast networks' fall schedule announcements. This year's post might not be as elaborate as my previous ones, but I'm still putting my heart (and trademark sass) into it. Enjoy! ABC Renewed: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. • Castle • The Goldbergs • Grey's Anatomy • Last Man Standing • The Middle • Modern Family • Nashville • Once Upon a Time • Resurrection • Revenge • Scandal Cancelled: The Assets • Back in the Game • Betrayal • Killer Women • Lucky 7 • Mind Games • Mixology • The Neighbors • Once Upon a Time in Wonderland • Suburgatory • Super Fun Night • Trophy Wife New series: Agent Carter • American Crime • The Astronaut Wives Club • Black-ish • Cristela • Forever • Fresh Off the Boat • Galavant • How to Get Away with Murder • Manhattan Love Story • Members Only • Secrets & Lies • Selfie • The...

meanwhile, in the NBC boardroom

NBC PRESIDENT *smoking up*:  so I was thinking of cancelling Community... NBC JANITOR:  Isn't Whitney  still on? NBC PRESIDENT *coughing*:  Yeah, but come on. The 2010s are the new 1990s. NBC JANITOR *passing da duchie*:  NOBODY WATCHES THAT SHOW! NBC PRESIDENT: Yeah.... thank God Community  is coming back.

GUEST POST: Office Review!

Caution!  Spoilers alert!!! - Ursula I love this time of year, partly due to the cooler weather and appearance of sweaters and boots in the shop windows but mostly because ALL MY SHOWS come back.  Thursday night on NBC has been an evening of bliss for me and many of my friends for a couple of years now.  This Thursday was no different.  I couldn’t wait. Oh, except obviously it was different, what with Steve Carrell having finished his career on The Office at the end of the 7 th season.  And we got to find out who was replacing him.  Not replacing him like actually getting an actor to replace Steve (this ain’t no Ashton Kutcher = Charlie Sheen), but replacing him as in finding out who’d be the new boss. And it was: Andy Bernard. And I was like… whaaaaaaaat? I didn’t particularly love any of the candidates from the end of last season.  Did anyone?  They were all either nuts or just blah.  Except maybe for Robert California (played by ...

When I was first recruited to start writing for this blog, I think my position had something to do with "celebrity gossip". Although I've hardly talked about celebrity gossip when writing my posts, I do have one thing to say: I kind of partied with Donald Glover last night for New Year's Eve at his old apartment and...it was awesome. Happy new year, Useless Critic!!!!

New "Community!" Population IDK

I am so out of the loop when it comes to network television, but I happened to overhear about a new show coming out this fall entitled, "Community." It stars Joel McHale from "The Soup" on E, and Chevy Chase, the guy from all those vacation movies. and... "I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not." Classic. But back to the show. Joel McHale plays a former lawyer with a suspended certification who has to go back to college, which just so happens to be community college. Or as Joel calls it a School Shaped Toilet. This show looks really funny and smart, and I'll check it out. Along with the final season of Monk (wink.) So in case you don't know Joel McHale is the man. Respect. "The Soup" is a great show, and JM is funny to the max. Much better than that panties-in-a-knot skank, Chelsea Handler that used to follow his show. "Chelsea Lately," such a waste of time. And of course Chevy Chase is a legend, and he's sure to be great....
