Did you see that ending to Kyle XY?

Okay, so I was watching the Series Finale of the ABC Family hit show Kyle XY, and there is one thing that I really noticed about it. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the series here is a synopsis….This guy wakes up in the woods outside of Seattle without a memory or a belly button (?). No, but seriously it is a somewhat entertaining teen sci-fi drama. The actors aren’t too bad on some occasions nor is the story, but back to the plot this guy, Kyle, has to learn the secrets that lie in his mysterious origin and protect those around him.

As the closing minutes approached, my sister and I were saying…. “Okay, it’s getting really good. How are they going to end it?”
But then nothing happened. It was just over. This has to be the driest ending to a series that I’ve seen. I have one word for you Kyle XY.

UNSATISFYING!!!!

I will say that they made one small revelation and Kyle’s little girl toy, Amanda, wants him back in the sack. (Not really this is a TV 14). Of course, the suspicion has been thrown around that the show was cancelled suddenly so the writers and crew didn’t have to toss together a decent ending. But whatever, that’s not really calling that an excuse. They should at least give a show like this enough time to compose a decent two-hour movie that can actually end on a decent note.

In case you’re interested there are two more Kyle XY novel/trade paperbacks that are coming to bookshelves near you in the future. I don’t believe they have titles, but I might read them just to get a grip on what’s left of this series.

QATFYG: Did you watch the ending of Kyle XY? Will you buy a book just because someone mentioned it online? Is ABC Family too sappy for your tastes?

  1. The ending we were given was indeed completely unsatisfying. That's why there is a campaign to try and save the show. We are writing letters to ABC Studios and other networks to try and get another station interested in this wonderful show. Please visit savekylexy.com for the addresses. There are even volunteers that will print and mail your letter for you. Thanks! Save the tub!

  2. Kyle XY is a prime example of the old adage, “only the good die young.” After three short seasons, we as fans are left begging for more… more of a show that was our bright spot on Monday nights.
We Kyle XY fans are a loyal group. As a member of KyleXY dot net, I’m doing what I can to help resurrect this show. You can join in the fight as well. The more of us that speak out for Kyle XY, the easier it is for the networks to hear us!

  3. With the cancellation of KYLE XY by ABCF, fans have lost a battle but certainly not the war yet. People all over the world are involved in trying to Move the Tub to another network.
The forum at WWW.KYLEXY.NET as well as WWW.SAVEKYLEXY.COM and WWW.SAVETHETUB.COM are great places where to find anything to help the cause.

  5. I was really upset with the ending to Kyle XY, i mean throw the TV out the window mad. ABCfamily really disrespected the show giving it an ending like that, they could had at least made some kind of deal with another network so that the show didn't have ta end, if they really cared about us viewers that's what they would had done. I'm not trying ta badmouth ABCfamily its just that they could have treated the show alot better than what they did. We all need ta band tagether and do whatever we can ta help save this wonderful show, mainly signing online petitions and sending ABCfamily and other networks letter about our campaign ta save the show.

"Mon Soleil" - Ashley Park

If there's anything people take away from my piss-poor legacy, I hope it's what a huge, unabashed fan of "Emily in Paris" I am and will continue to be. People love "90 Day Fiancee," "The Bachelor," and other garbage - allow me "Emily," which is at least harmless, kind of goofy fluff (which does, unfortunately, lean into some stereotypes, as the country of Ukraine knows ). I have already watched Season 2 twice. And honestly my favorite part of this show (despite my crush on Camille Razart and Lily Collins channeling Audrey Hepburn hardcore ) is Ashley Park. This woman has superstar written all over her. She's a bona fide Broadway star, and "Emily in Paris" has served as her pivot into the zeitgeist.  "Emily in Paris" is also showcasing her vocal prowess front and center this season, with her covering BTS, "All By Myself," "Sympathtique," and Marilyn Monroe. But the real standout performance is th

Appropriate Holiday Gift Ideas for the Single Lady

While some people may see it as a drag, there are plenty of benefits to being single during the holiday season. During this time of the year, there are tons of parties you can attend that you may not have had the opportunity to if you were in a relationship. There’s also not as much stress on you as a single gal during the holidays because you don’t have to shop for your partner and extended family members  or  stress over where to eat Christmas dinner.  Not everyone sees the bright side of being fancy free during the holidays, and, tragically, they aren't afraid to let us single ladies know. Not only are single women subjected to even more harassment and ridicule during the holiday season, they’re also given the most obnoxious gifts by those who can’t comprehend how anyone can be both happy and single. Whether it’s a self-help book (desperately) trying to reinforce how great is to be single or the gift of a year-long subscription to Match.com , single women are presented with

Give JR a Break

Recently, I've been reading some sites that have criticized James Roday, the lead actor on the USA show PSYCH for an apparent weight gain. But you know what? Who gives a flying fizzle stick if James Roday is slightly larger than he was 4 years ago. Apparently, it wasn't enough to scare away his current girlfriend/ co-star Maggie Lawson. (Who is one hell of a Catch!) And NO they are not engaged. That seems to be nothing more than a rumor, but there is a very high chance of it happening in the near future. Anyway, as long as PSYCH continues to entertain I don't mind about James Roday's waist. He, and Dule Hill, and Corbin Bernson too, can eat all the fried broccoli they want. The last episode of PSYCH wasn't so smashing, but I don't blame it on dietary issues. QATFYG: Are you keeping up with Psych? And who is hotter, James Roday or Maggie Lawson? (Trick Question but idk why) PS: If you have heard any more news on Roday and Lawson becoming Roday-Lawson, send it
